Here are two little girls who took admission in Std.1 at Umuri UP School in Koraput block .Today while being in that school , I learnt that Surabhi Khila . does not want to leave her sister and sits in Std.VII .Another girl Laxmi Choudhury sitting in STD 1 very comfortably .Both are acceptable .

Child wins over Disability with Support from teachers at Umuri in Koraput block
She is Jamuna Jani of Umuri is in Std.VII .She can't speak .Hears only loud voice .She is there in Umuri UP School in Koraput block .While it is a great challenge for the teachers , special attention given to her which has helped her to write decently .She comes to the school regularly .While congratulating the patient effort I felt today that there was a need of support of special teacher .

Prateek Patnaik , a child observing Anasara of Lord Jagannath at Home
It is Anasara at Lord Jagannath temple all across . From the day when the Lords had deep bath on the occasion of Deba Snana Purnima , the main temple was closed for General Darshan as the Lord fell ill . According to the tradition Lord is being given treatment by devotees and HE gets cured . While this is a practice in the temples , here is Master Prateek Patnaik , a student of Std.X who observes the same rituals in his home at Damanjodi . Living with Jagannath Consciousness from Childhood for Prateek Patnaik
He is Prateek Patnaik , a child of Std.X at Damanjodi in Koraput district who constantly lives in Jagannath Consciousness . He speaks , feels , writes , paints only on Lord Jagannath . Whatever he makes is been dedicated to Lord Jagannath . To him everything on this earth is only Jagannath . He can compromise on anything else but not on any work of the Lord , says Dipak Patnaik , his father . He has painted portraits of the Lord in his canvas , made items that lord would wear for getting decorated on different occasions . He can tell about the rituals in relation to Lord Jagannath better than most of us . He has read more books on Lord Jagannath than adults like me , leave aside children like him . He has learnt Champu , Odishi and Chanda to offer his prayers to the Lord . However his parents were not worried for his great inclination to the Divine work from his childhood as he was equally good at his studies . He has lot many prizes at local to National level compared to other children of his age . Certificates speak about his continuous progress in the line of evolution . Today while I was there to see this dedicated child in his house at Damanjodi , I expressed gratitude to the Divine for giving me an opportunity to meet such a noble soul totally dedicated to the Divine in all that he does . It is a rare Sadhana which this little child was doing without saying that he was doing it . May Lord Jagannath give him strength in becoming what he should become .
